The Story of Our Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioners
Founder Erik Larson entered healthcare in 2005, working in military, community, and public hospital settings. He consistently felt constrained by limited 30–45 minute appointments and employer pressure to emphasize specific diagnoses and medications. Uncomfortable with these practices, Erik founded his own practice in 2018 to prioritize patient well-being. The organization now offers 90-minute initial evaluations — allowing thorough information gathering and well-informed diagnostic decisions without perpetuating ineffective treatment cycles.
